The NAAC annual meeting took place on May 14 at Moonstones, Chelmsford, MA. After a bit of socializing and ordering meals, and the usual approval of past minutes and a review of finances, outgoing President Buddy Gregory led a review of the past year’s events, with special thanks to the event masters Scott Hochgraf, Charlie Learoyd, William Ellis, Faviana Olivier, Michael Collier, Michelle Gregory and Chris Miller. Only modesty prevented Buddy from adding his own name to the list.
The highlight of our annual meeting is election of members to the board of directors. This year the nominating committee presented four candidates for four open positions: Ian Duff, Paul Belmont, Bailey Bishop and Bobby Karol. (Bios of the candidates were presented in the May newsletter). All four were elected via verified ballots cast through MotorsportReg.com, and welcomed to the NAAC board.
Subsequently, the new board nominated and elected officers for 2016. William Ellis replaces Buddy Gregory as President; Michael Collier is continuing Vice-President; Buddy is assuming the treasurer’s position; and Charlie Learoyd is continuing as Secretary. Ian, Paul, Bobby and Bailey come on to the board as members-at-large. Unfortunately Bobby Karol subsequently resigned, citing insufficient time to do the position justice. This leaves an open position on the board, so if you are interested please contact President William Ellis, email@example.com.
