Spring Tour and Winery Visit April 16, 12:00 PM Hooksett, NH

Spring tour event master Scott Hochgraf has selected the Gilmanton Winery in Gilmanton, NH as our Wine Tour destination for 2016. This small NH winery has a unique back story, in that the business was once the home of Grace Metalious who in 1956 published the somewhat racy novel Peyton Place.

Our tour begins at 12 noon at the Northbound I-93 Hookset, NH rest area, the same place as last year’s tour. For those who want some food in their belly before the tour, there are a couple of eating options at the rest area. The tour will proceedup I-93 to Meridith, NH and around Lake Winnipesaukee toward Moultonborough (Castle in the Clouds), through Wolfboro, Alton and finally on to Gilmanton.

At the Gilmanton Winery, our group will be provided a private wine tasting along with cheese and crackers. Following the wine tasting, we will make a short trek (20 minutes) to the Common Man Restaurant (one block off of I-93) in Concord, NH for an early dinner (dutch treat).

For those who have not been on one of our tours in the past (and those who have), you will find back country roads with unique photo ops, awesome camaraderie with fellow Audi enthusiasts, some great wine tasting and of course dinner.
